This is the school that the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.

Christian Foundation

Bible verses, parables, and morals are woven into our daily curriculum.

The Bible is the most influential and fundamental book in creation-a book that has altered history. As our Christian culture dissolves around us, it is more important than ever for our children to have a foundation deeply tied to the book on which our society was founded.

Outdoor Learning

Outdoor education and play provides opportunities for discovery, decision making, problem solving, and creativity. Being outside improves mood, reduces stress, increases self-esteem, and enhances cognitive ability. MPS students play and explore outside multiple times a day. When weather doesn’t permit outside activities, students get their bodies moving with indoor exercises, yoga, and dancing.

Small Class Ratio

We encourage students to reach their full potential by providing them individual attention in a small group setting and by building nurturing relationships between students and teachers.

MPS’s student-to-teacher ratio does not exceed 12-14 students per classroom.

“Writing is thinking formalized. You gain the ability to think by first learning to write very, very carefully. Then, when you can write effectively, you can do anything you want, and no one will stop you.”

- Dr. Jordan Peterson

Midlothian Private School focuses on the importance of a strong reading, writing, and math academic foundation. Students are immersed in projects and lessons that rely heavily on putting their ideas to paper, then taking those ideas and verbalizing them to an audience.

The focus on this critical skill not only increases their confidence in openly solving problems with peers, but will build self sufficient contributing adults.

“What the hand does, the mind remembers.”

- Maria Montessori

Our teachers are given the time and resources to teach children according to each child’s predominant learning style, whether that is visually, auditorily, or kinesthetically.
